OTA Opodo is to advertise on TV in the UK for the first time with a £1 million campaign.

The company is using a ‘search, book and travel’ message from this week and throughout August.

The adverts will promote Opodo’s multi-platform offering across its mobile app and website for flight or hotel deals.

The messaging will also convey how travellers could make big savings by booking their flight and hotel together using dynamic packaging functionality.

The campaign’s ‘Let the journey begin’ strapline will be supported by advertising at major railway stations across London and the south-east, including Euston and Liverpool Street.

Conrad Svard, group brand director at parent company eDreams ODIGEO, said: “This is the first time we have invested in television advertising for Opodo in the UK so it’s a fantastic opportunity to get our brand in front of a new audience, whilst also reminding existing customers of our great product range across flights and hotels.

“We’ve made a lot of improvements to our website and mobile app in the last year to offer British travellers the best prices and greatest convenience, so it’s an exciting time to be telling consumers why they should book their travel with us.”
