Former St Lucia Tourist Board marketing director Atlyn Forde has become Travelport regional head of destination marketing.
She joins the company’s digital media solutions unit, part of its hospitality division.
Forde will drive strategies to increase awareness in and encourage regional, country and city tourism boards within the EMEA region to take on Travelport’s latest advertising solutions and technologies.
Global head of destination marketing, Anna Au-Yeung, said: “With her passion for marketing and travel, Atlyn is an outstanding addition to our digital media solutions team.
“I’m confident she will play an integral part in increasing awareness of the marketing opportunities available to tourism boards and destinations via our travel commerce platform.”
Meanwhile, Travelport has secured a renewal deal with Barcelona-based OTA Atrápalo, which attracts eight million visitors to its websites in nine countries including Spain, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico.
