The boss of travel technology firm KDS has quit following its takeover by American Express Global Business Travel (GBT).

Dean Forbes has decided to “pursue other interests” after supporting a successful integration as chief executive.

Former chief financial officer and business operations executive vice president Roxana Bressy moves up to become the new chief executive.

At the same time, Oliver Quayle has been named vice president of product marketing and innovation for GBT and KDS.

GBT completed the acquisition of KDS earlier this year as part of a broader investment strategy to develop a suite of integrated digital services for business travellers.

Chief executive Doug Anderson said: “Roxana has been a key driver of KDS’ growth over the past several years.

“We are confident she will continue to propel the group forward and further cultivate its unique culture and entrepreneurial spirit, which is a defining characteristic of KDS and its success.”

GBT president Philippe Chérèque added: “We could not have brought GBT and KDS together without the vision and efforts of Dean Forbes.

“His legacy of challenging the status quo to create game-changing technology in our industry, and the entrepreneurial DNA that he cultivated within the KDS culture is inspiring.

“The appointment of Roxana and Oliver will continue this vision and culture.”
