A new mobile app has been designed to provide hotels with ‘PMS in your pocket’.

Hotelogix, a property management software (PMS) firm has created the app for Android and iOS devices in a bid to reduce staff costs and increase efficiency.

It is designed to offer a “simple, clean interface” which helps hoteliers handle day-to-day tasks such as check-ins, check-outs, reservations and night auditing.

The app will be displayed at World Travel Market at ExCel London from November 7.

Designers say its “simple learning curve” means even non-tech savvy staff can master the app quickly and guests can benefit from faster check-ins

Hotelogix says the app could help some hotel groups cut the cost of employment by 60% and derive the same level of productivity from less experienced staff.

The cloud-based provider already has clients in more than 100 countries.

“Empowering hoteliers with powerful, yet simple tools that can be used without much technical know-how has always been our primary focus,” said co-founder Prabhash Bhatnagar.

“The launch of our mobile PMS is yet another step in this direction – it’s almost as easy to use as WhatsApp.”

Visitors can see the exhibit at WTM from November 7 to November 9 and talk to the founders.
