A new high-tech London hotel will be the first in the country to offer 10gb bandwidth to guests, who will all have unlimited Wi-Fi data.

Opening in November, the 253-room Royal London House in Finsbury Square is the sixth installment from independent hotel group Montcalm Luxury Hotels.

Its focus on technology means it has chosen to include to iPod docking stations and 55” smart TVs in the bedrooms, 18 of which are junior suites, 14 master suites, five business suites and two palm suites with private balconies overlooking the shard.

Other luxury touches include a pre-order pillow menu, in-room Nespresso machines and an ‘aroma of choice’.

Royal London House will also have an urban spa including a pool, Jacuzzi, two treatment rooms, a sauna and steam room as well as an event space for up to 300 guests.

Interior designer Russell Sage, Tonik Associates and 5Plus architects were involved in the renovation of the mid-century property.

It will also have two restaurants and two bars.

Bookings will be taken from November 1, with the rack rate set at £200 + VAT, although the property’s website is currently offering some deals at lower prices.
