Business travellers can meet with contacts who happen to be in the same city now AccorHotels has teamed up with professional social network LinkedIn.

LinkedIn has 450 million members worldwide and all guests staying in AccorHotels’ 4,000 hotels can use its new BusinessCheck powered by LinkedIn mobile and tablet app.

The idea is to help business people stay connected while on the move.

To do so, LinkedIn members are encouraged to share their upcoming destinations to see which of their connections are nearby so they can catch up and get to know each other better.

A campaign under the slogan “Boost business opportunity all over the world” launched on October 19 has been started to encourage more efficient business travel before, after and during trips.

The app is available in 18 languages, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, Korean, Arabic, Turkish, Thai, and Swedish.
